The Return of Primus and The White Stripes

Reunions are the latest fad, but it’s with delight that we heard about the imminent return of two great acts.

Referring to Primus, Les Claypool revealed “we’re back!” via twitter yesterday. After a hiatus, the popular quirky three piece are getting back together for a string of shows around America. Returning to the line up with Les Claypool is guitarist Larry LaMonde and original drummer Jay Lane.

Primus’s last studio album was Antipop in ’99.

Also, it looks like everyone’s favourite ex husband/wife duo The White Stripes may get back together. The group took a break in 2007 after Meg White developed chronic anxiety and could no longer perform on stage. In an recent interview Jack said he had spent some time with Meg and that she was a lot better and may look to performing again soon.

The White Stripes released Under The Northern Lights this year, a live CD/DVD of their final Candian tour in ’07.
