The Smith Street Band’s Wil Wagner Announces Solo Tour Dates

Written by Mike Hohnen on June 1, 2016

Fearless leader of The Smith Street Band and loveable stalwart of recent Australian Music Wil Wagner has announced solo headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Going down in August at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, the dates will be the biggest of their kind for Wagner’s solo sojourn.

The shows will follow The Smith Street Band’s upcoming national tour, and last with their killer 2014 album Throw Me In The River. The solo shows will be a passion project from Wagner, who noticed that the love needed to be spread further.

Joining Wagner for the run will be Jeff Rosenstock (Bomb The Music Industry!) whom you may remember from such solo tours as his most recent on earlier this year, in support of his album We Cool?

They may be the biggest venues for his solo career but they’re still pretty damn intimate. The below dates will have Sold Out all over them in no time at all.

Wagner recently jumped on stage with mates Violent Soho on their WACO national tour to perform his cover version of the Violent Soho track In The Aisle, from 2013’s Hungry Ghost.
