The Used’s Bert McCracken Is Now A Channel [V] Presenter

The people at Channel [V] want you to know that they’re taking things to the next level. The Foxtel music station has today unveiled the first of what promises to be suite of ch-ch-ch-changes to their brand, adding three shiny new faces to their crack team of presenters.

Those faces belong to newly minted Aussie citizen Bert McCracken (who you may remember from such American post-hardcore bands as The Used), as well as Aussie international model Bambi Northwood-Blyth and DJ Generik (a.k.a. Tyson O’Brien).

“Together with Danny Clayton, Carissa Walford and Marty Smiley, these guys are gonna be showing you how to grab life by the balls,” the channel’s reps proclaimed in a statement.

“We’ve got a bunch of new shows and other exciting stuff on the way. Yep, we’re taking it to the next level.”

By “next level”, it appears they’re talking about a content makeover, which will see them expand their programming to cover more than just music.

“Music will always be a driving force for us at [V] – you don’t need to worry about that,” the statement continues. “But stay tuned over the coming months as we get amongst a whole range of stuff from fashion to travel in addition to your fix of clips and exclusive access to the world’s biggest music stars.”

Channel [V] has packaged their message into a pair of slick video advertisements, introducing its new presenters and brand direction in blockbuster fashion. Check them out below.
