The Vines Talk Follow-Up To Future Primitive

The Vines have not even begun to let the grass grow on new album Future Primitive, out for about a fortnight now, but already the Sydney band are turning their attention towards a new album.

Triple J reports that singer with the band, Craig Nicholls, has been talking about a curious album of ‘home demos’ that could end up as a fast follow-up to Future Primitive, the band’s fifth album.

Nicholls said, “We want to put out an album really soon. Hopefully in a few months, which is just home demos and things and studio outtakes.

I had 139 songs on my digital 8-track, which I went through the other night, and we went to the studio yesterday and put down 15, and then we’re just going to decide which ones we want to make on the album.”

The Vines will also be touring in Australia this year. The dates are:

Thursday August 25, The Northern, Byron Bay, NSW

Friday August 26 The Hi-Fi, Brisbane, QLD

Saturday August 27, The Metro, Sydney, NSW
