The Wonder Years Added To Soundwave 2015 Lineup

Philadelphia pop-punk band The Wonder Years have been added to the Soundwave Festival 2015 lineup, with both the band and promoter AJ Maddah sharing the good news via social media.

The Wonder Years posted a photo of themselves to Instagram this morning, holding up a cardboard sign which read, “#SW15”. Maddah has since shared the very same photo via his Twitter account, adding, “So I was at Reading Festival today and ran into these guys,” later confirming to a fan via Twitter that The Wonder Years have been added to the SW15 bill.

The Wonder Years were due to tour Australia this September, but cancelled the tour late last week. At the time of cancellation the band said they were “looking forward to coming back as soon as our schedule permits”. The group were last in the country for Soundwave 2013, and released their latest album The Greatest Generation in the same year.

The Soundwave 2015 lineup was revealed last week, with the festival’s new two-day 2015 format is set to be headlined by Faith No More, Soundgarden, Slipknot, Slash, and Marilyn Manson.

A second Soundwave 2015 lineup announcement is currently slated for some time in September.
