There’s Already A Metal Version Of The ‘PPAP’ Viral Song And We Don’t Know What To Think

Well, it was only a matter of time before people started covering the Pen Pineapple Apple Pen song and it’s happened.

The metal world now has a cover of the bizarre Japanese song by musician and comedian Kazuhiko Kosaka because that’s exactly what we all needed – another version.

If you need a quick catch-up, the PPAP song, which it’s now affectionately known as, arrived online at the end of last month and has since gone viral racking up 10 million views on YouTube alone. The reason? It’s hands-down the strangest thing you’ll see all year. And just a little bit catchy too.

This metal version is by another Japanese artist Kabukin and, well, it’s just as bizarre.

The man complete with a painted mask brings physical pens, pineapples and apples into the picture, eventually taking a bite at the apple but rather sensibly deciding not to bite the full pineapple.

We’re left just as bewildered as we were with the original and now have it in our heads for another 24 hours which is just great.

Thank you internet. Thank you very much.
