This Video Will Make You Grateful You Avoided Stereosonic

UPDATE: NEW FOOTAGE SHOWS FULL EXTENT OF MASSIVE “ALL-IN BRAWL” AT STEREOSONIC

Footage of an all-out brawl at the Sydney leg of Stereosonic has surfaced online.

The footage (below), captured at Sydney Olympic Park over the weekend, shows a large group of festival-goers awkwardly battling it out for a number of minutes, before security personnel manage to momentarily contain the situation.

Shirtless punters can be seen throwing kicks and punches, while sizing each other up and perhaps estimating how much they each bench. One festival-goer is attended to by security after being knocked down and kicked a number of times. Another video of the incident, which has since been removed, also showed one individual being kicked in the face.

While there’s clearly a large number of security personnel at Stereosonic events — as evidenced by a separate video below, which shows up to 7 security guards subduing one man — they can’t be everywhere at all times, and are going to face difficulties subduing large crowds of aggressors. Which, let’s face it, is pretty much always going to be an issue.

The Sydney leg of Stereosonic saw hundreds of people charged with drug offences. The festival also hit Perth last weekend, but one clever punter helped to lighten the mood.

Stereosonic will appear in Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane this weekend.
