For Tom Petty fans still mourning the singer’s shock loss, there are a couple of tribute nights still to go down in Australia to celebrate the legendary singer and his timeless music.
Sydney fans will be treated to a set of covers from a mysterious allstar group dubbed ‘The Glorious Spies’ for what’s billed as an “extraordinarily memorable tribute”.
It’s going down from 7pm on Sunday, 22nd October at Shady Pines Saloon, and as for entry?
While up in Brisbane, diehard fans will be able to jump up and perform some Petty classics during an open mic event dedicated to the later singer-songwriter.
It’s going down on Tuesday, 24th October at Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall.
Newcastle theatre venue Lizottes will also be hosting a night of Neil Young & Tom Petty covers, but fans will have to wait for 4th February next year for that one.

The tributes come after the ABC’s Rage programme hosted a special event in honour of the great man, following his sad passing at the age of 66 earlier this month.
Petty died peacefully surrounding by his family, bandmates and friends shortly after reportedly suffering cardiac arrest, however his official cause of death is still to be officially confirmed.
RIP to another legend.
