Tonight Alive have returned with their firecracker new single Lonely Girl, set to feature on their forthcoming album The Other Side. From the get go, Lonely Girl sees the band come out swinging at a furious pace which doesn’t slow for the entirety of the song.
The track premiered last night on Triple M and marks the second single to be released off the album. The high energy alone is sure to see the track become a crowd favourite at future shows, and the subject matter will make it an instant hit through headphones the world over.
Previously we’ve heard The Ocean which set the standards high for the rest of the release. From what we’ve seen so far, Tonight Alive are using The Other Side as an opportunity to explore a more mature version of their pop punk sound. Cute don’t live here no more. If Lonely Girl is anything to go by, we can expect a lot more busting of skulls, and taking of names to come from the new album.
The band will be heading out for a run of headlining Australian tour dates throughout September before their appearance on Vans Warped Tour Australia.
