ORIGINAL STORY: All signs point to The Strokes releasing a brand new tune at around midnight tonight.

More light has been shed on the mystery video that recently appeared in London, with word on the street that Julian Casablancas will be debuting a new song from The Strokes during the inaugural episode of his SiriusXM radio program.

The hour-long broadcast, dubbed Culture Void, is set to premiere at midnight tonight AEDT on SiriusXMU.

And, as The Strokes BR points out, a promo for the show promises “the world premiere of brand new music from The Strokes”.

The revelation follows numerous illuminated projections advertising a new project called Future Present Past throughout New York City.

Casablancas’ own Cult Records even posted a video of the thing to Instagram:

Now we don’t wanna jump the gun, but prospects look pretty damn good for The Strokes coming armed with their first new music since 2013’s Comedown Machine by the time they get here for Splendour In The Grass this July.

Yeah. Time to get excited.
