Triple J Unearthed Announces National Indigenous Music Awards Competition

For the fifth year in a row, triple j Unearthed has partnered with the National Indigenous Music Awards to shine the spotlight on undiscovered talent. The National Indigenous Music Awards will give the nation’s best independent, unsigned Indigenous act the chance to play at the 2016 NIMAs and entries are now officially open.

Previous years have seen the likes of Thelma Plum and Philly take out pole position, resulting in some stunning untapped talent being displayed at the event. This year, the show will be going down on Saturday, 6th August featuring again what is sure to be a display of stunning talent.

Winners will also score a cool $500 performance fee with travel and accom all sorted. On top of that the winning artist will cop airplay on triple j Unearthed AND triple j.

You have to be in it to win it so be sure to upload your tunes to triple j Unearthed by Sunday, 3rd July with a winner being announced on Thursday, 7th July to help mark NAIDOC Week.
