Trophy Eyes Part Ways With Drummer Ahead Of Download Festival Australia

Just over 24 hours since being announced on the first-ever lineup for Download Festival Australia, local punks Trophy Eyes have announced they’ve split with their founding drummer, Callum Cramp.

“As of a month or so ago Trophy Eyes parted ways with our drummer, Cal,” say the band in a statement. “We wish him the best of luck in all future endeavours. Thank you for being a part of this journey.”

Meanwhile, Cramp has also taken to social media to express solidarity with his bandmates and stress the fact that there aren’t any hard feelings.

“It was a wild ride from the moment we all stepped into my parents granny flat and it never slowed down from there,” he writes.

“To mark the start of their next chapter, the boys released a new single titled ‘Hurt’. Its big, its catchy, and you should all support the shit out of it!”

Trophy Eyes have announced that their “dear friend” Blake Caruso will be filling in on the drums “for the time being”.

The band’s new single (below) is a departure from the brand of hardcore-infused punk we’ve come to expect from Trophy Eyes, signalling a much more restrained, pop-rock inspired direction.

Give it a spin below and catch Trophy Eyes performing live at Download Festival Australia 2018 in Melbourne next March.
