Trump’s Press Secretary Once Tweeted That Helmet-Wearers Daft Punk Need To “Grow Up”

Daft Punk need to grow up and stop wearing their helmets. Period.

That’s according to President Donald Trump’s press secretary Sean Spicer, the guy who in his first address to the media told them that Trump’s inauguration had, “the largest audience to witness an inauguration. Period.”

Tweets have been uncovered from 2014 that show Spicer raising his opinions on Daft Punk’s Grammy Awards performance.

Spicer believed that they were “blowing it” and decided that even though he was an early fan, they needed to “grow up”.

“Was an early and still fan but come on helmets? tey need to grow up,” he tweeted.

Spicer has become a meme ever since he told his little falsehood and uttered the word “period” and these uncovered tweets are unlikely to slow the memes down.

Trump’s counsellor Kellyanne Conway only fuelled the fire by referring to his comments as “alternative facts” when pressed by US television host Chuck Todd.

If you’re a Daft Punk fan who disagrees with these comments, take solace in the fact that they’re just alternative facts.
