TV On The Radio Bust Out New Jam ‘Mercy’ Live

When we last heard from TV On The Radio, the band had cut ties with their previous record label Interscope and at that time, they confirmed they would be hitting up the studio. Although the band were coy about hinting at a new album they did assure fans that fresh material would be surfacing soon. At a recent gig the band came through with their promise and introduced the crowd to a new jam.

After checking in that the crowd were having a good time, the band continued their set with the brand new track Mercy. Captured by a fan in attendance, the quality is definitely useable and gives a strong representation of what the track must have sounded like on the night. That is, a lot more furious and aggressive than what you’d expect from TV On The Radio.

There’s no confirmation yet on whether Mercy will be a feature on the follow up to 2011’s Nine Types of Light, or whether it will serve as a satellite single. You can check out the footage from their set at the All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival in the U.K. below.
