Two Door Cinema Club Go Disco On New Track ‘Bad Decisions’

Two Door Cinema Club have a new album Gameshow coming in October and they’ve teased it with another new song Bad Decisions.

The band have switched up their sound on this one heading to the dance floor with a disco-tinged tune that recalls Bee Gees, Bowie and Nile Rodgers.

It’s the second song we’ve heard from the forthcoming album following on from the first single Are We Ready? (Wreck) which was their first new material since 2013’s Changing Of The Seasons EP.

Frontman Alex Trimble recently admitted to DIY Mag that the band “played it far too safe” with their second album Beacon and that they’ve returned with a new sense of “fearlessness”.

It shows too given that this new track is perhaps their biggest sonic detour to date.

“At it’s core, it’s a pop record,” Trimble also said of the new album which is due to be released on XX.

It was inspired by the way Bowie approached pop music. “He would bring it outside of his own time and I wanted to try and capture some of that with our record,” Trimble said.

We’re not far off the release of the record now and hopefully we’re also not far off an Australian visit from the band.
