Ultra Music Festival 2013 – ‘Phase 1′ Lineup Announced

Written by Kiel Egging on December 30, 2012

Miami’s Ultra Music Festival has slowly grown into one of the biggest dance events on the globe – so big that it is stretching over two weekends next year for its 15th birthday celebrations.

And now, following the initial announcements of headliners Armin Van Burren, deadmau5 and Swedish House Mafia (who are playing their last shows ever at the festival) the big names have started to assemble with the first announcement of acts for 2013. Or, as the festival likes to describe it, ‘Phase 1′.

Stereosonic headliners Avicci, Calvin Harris and Tiesto have all locked themselves in for DJ sets, as has fellow legendary DJs David Guetta and Fatboy Slim.

Carl Cox and Friends have got themselves an arena, while Booka Shade, Boys Noize, The Bloody Beetroots and Hot Chip are all doing ‘live’ shows.

The full lineup so far can be seen below. ‘Phase 2′ – aka the second announcement – is expected to drop early next year. Ultra Music Festival takes place in Miami on March 15-17 and March 22-24, 2013. If you’re in the States around that time, and want to be the envy of all your music lovin’ pals, I suggest you get a ticket and get amongst the action.
