Unified Announce $25K Grant Program For Young Creatives In The Music Industry

Australian music management company Unified has announced that it will be giving away five $5000 grants to up-and-coming music industry creatives.

At Brisbane’s Bigsound conference today, Unified founder and CEO Jaddan Comerford explained that the group would be giving grants to passionate, creative people who don’t necessarily play music, but want to work in the music industry through alternative avenues.

The Unified Grant aims to nurture young photographers, producers, videographers, web developers, graphic designers, journalists, app builders, data analysts, or whatever their passions may be.

“Today I’m honoured to announce The Unified Grant,” Comerford says.

“As someone who started a business with nothing, at a young age and on my own, I want to encourage more people to follow their dreams. For me early on this grant would have helped me do CD pressings, or fly to SXSW.”

To apply, come up with a 500-word statement which explains why you deserve the grant, and what you will spend the money on. Applications are open to any ‘behind the scenes’ creative ideas involving the music industry.

Applications for The Unified Grant are now open. Head to The Unified Grant website to fill out a questionnaire and apply online. Applications close on 31 October, and the five winners will be announced on Monday, 21st November 2016.
