Usher Being Sued By Overworked and Underpaid Former Nanny

Usher is in the news today for all the wrong reasons after the former nanny of his two sons filed a lawsuit against the pop star claiming she was overworked, yet underpaid during her time in the position. Though the exact numbers aren’t being revealed, Cecilia Duncan is seeking a six-figure reimbursement for her troubles, indicating she’s owed some serious overtime.

From 2010 to 2012, Duncan looked after Usher’s five-year-old son Usher V and four-year-old Naviyd and has claimed that during that time, working a 40 hour week was commonplace. It’s been argued that the extra hours were not compensated with overtime and when then nanny approached Usher with her concerns, she was ignored and eventually fired last year.

Of course, Usher’s people have labeled the accusations “completely false” adding that the lawsuit is nothing by “frivolous.” It hasn’t been a smooth run for Usher, who was recently involved in a bitter custody battle with his former wife Tameka Foster. In that instance, the judge sided with the Yeah! hit maker.

Following that, Usher and his pint-sized protege Justin Bieber will have their day in court having been been slapped with a $10 million lawsuit after being accused of stealing The Bieb’s 2010 hit Somebody To Love. They say bad things happen in three’s so heres hoping your luck picks up soon, Raymond.
