Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra have released a music video for single Do It With a Rockstar. The almost 7-minute-long clip contains drag queens, agitated hipsters, some weird happenings with food, a little nudity, and a whole lot of getting it on.
Of course none of this is all too surprising considering the clip was co-directed by Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne and written by Palmer, who, according to the songwriter’s Youtube Channel, allowed improv from everyone involved with the shoot.
Do It With a Rockstar is lifted from the Kickstarter-funded album Theatre Is Evil, which came out in September and was described by Music Feeds reviewer Shane Arnold as, “a potently courageous album.”
Palmer will give Australian audiences a live taste of the album that many local fans helped pay for when, along with The Grand Theft Orchestra, she tours Australia in February 2013.
