Watch: Band of Horses New Song ‘Knock Knock’

Written by Marc Zanotti on July 10, 2012

Indie outfit Band of Horses are all set to release their fourth studio record, Mirage Rock, on September 18 (album cover art pictured above). The new record follows up 201O’s Infinite Arms, which Music Feeds reviewer Lucy Donnelly characterised as being middle of the road and safe, lacking Band of Horses’ proven ability for experimentation as seen on the band’s first two albums.

“Buy the album for your dad to listen to in the car and wait for what comes next… If they are brave enough to match their material to their musicality, they will once again blow us out of the stables”

As Donnelly alludes to, hopefully Mirage Rock will see Band of Horses regain some of their edge. The band already debuted new track Long Vows earlier this year during an acoustic set at this year’s Lollapalooza, Brazil.

Now another song has been lifted from the record titled Knock Knock and comes with an accompanying music video. The kindly peeps at Pitchfork have also published the tracklist for Mirage Rock, which you can check out below, along with the new music clip and LP trailer.

Mirage Rock – Tracklist:

01 Knock Knock
02 How to Live
03 Slow Cruel Hands of Time
04 A Little Biblical
05 Shut-In Tourist
06 Dumpster World
07 Electric Music
08 Everything’s Gonna Be Undone
09 Feud
10 Long Vows
11 Heartbreak on the 101
12 Ego Nightmare [iTunes pre-order only]
