Having just wrapped up a run of Australian and New Zealand tour dates last month on the back of the Groovin The Moo 2012 tour, Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green has now appeared on stage with Bonnaroo covering Neil Young classic Like A Hurricane (Watch below).
The song is done in a traditional southern guitar plucking style, and really does the original some justice. Towards the end of the song we get a wicked pedal steel guitar solo that could easily take you back to the 70’s classic rock sound. Previously, Green has covered Young’s Old Man at the 2011 Juno Awards.
City and Colour’s third full-length album, Little Hell, has seen Green continue to take his music in new directions while keeping his signature brand of indie folk intact. Gaining a strong cult following, all three full-length albums have now attained platinum certification, with Fragile Bird, the first single off Little Hell, sparking a critical frenzy upon its release with Green’s shift into grittier sonic territory.
