Watch Courtney Barnett Join Tweedy On Stage In Melbourne To Cover David Bowie’s ‘Queen Bitch’

Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy is in Australia at the moment with his Tweedy project which also stars his son Spencer Tweedy.

Last night’s show, held at the Recital Hall in Melbourne, kicked off with a string of songs from the full Tweedy compliment. Following that, Jeff gave audience a taste of what’s to come in June when Wilco embark on their world tour, with a series of solo acoustic Wilco songs, and more.

They were joined in stage by homegrown legend Courtney Barnett during the show’s encore to play a cover of David Bowie’s Queen Bitch from his acclaimed fourth album Hunky Dory.

It’s Jeff Tweedy’s second live Bowie cover of the year, after Wilco performed Space Oddity at a gig in Brooklyn in February.
