Watch As Diehard Pearl Jam Fan Belts Out ‘Even Flow’ While Getting Arrested

Written by Zanda Wilson on August 8, 2017

Pearl Jam‘s 1991 hit ‘Even Flow’ is an iconic and classic part of the of ’90s rock canon, and its impact is still being felt to this day – just perhaps not in the way you might expect.

The song became the subject of a viral video which depicts a bloodied and battered man being arrested in the US, taken from a recent episode of the television show Live PD.

The man, who originally seems annoyed at being filmed during his arrest, then decides to embrace the spotlight and takes the opportunity to passionately belt out the lyrics to the classic Pearl Jam track.

After being questioned by the cops as to what exactly he’s doing, the man starts to speak about Pearl Jam as if it were a singular person.”You ever seen Pearl Jam live?” asks the man. “He’s the baddest motherfucker alive, he’s my religion.”

But he’s not finished there, as he goes on to attempt to convince the cops that Pearl Jam once wrote a song called ‘I Got Shit’, and that they should “tear down” his shirt to presumably show off his Pearl Jam tats.
