Watch DMA’s Drop A Stunning Cher Cover For ‘Like A Version’

Sydney indie rock outfit DMA’s have performed a stunning acoustic version of Cher‘s massive 1998 track Believe for triple j‘s Like A Version covers segment.

Dropping by the triple j studios to perform an original and a cover, DMA’s surprised everyone with a gorgeous and stripped-back cover of Cher’s huge ’90s dance hit.

It was Cher as you’ve never heard her before, with DMA’s performing with only two acoustic guitars, the tune suiting Tommy O’Dell’s vocals in a way you couldn’t possibly have predicted.

Stripping away the autotune and production from the original, it impressed even triple j ‘Breakfast’ host Matt Okine, who admitted that he somehow “hated the original” when it was released.

While in the triple j studios, DMA’s also performed an acoustic version of their own track Step Up The Morphine.

Catch both performances, below.
