Watch Eddie Vedder Jam With Former Classmates In Surprise Reunion Appearance

Few people can claim to have a former classmate as famous as Eddie Vedder, and fewer still can say they’ve played in a band with him, but alumni of the Pearl Jam frontman’s high school, the San Dieguito Academy in California, now can.

As fans noted on Pearl Jam forums, Vedder rocked up to one of the school’s recent fundraisers, surprising everyone there by jamming along with some of his old classmates. He took lead vocals in a cover of Joe Jackson’s Got The Time, and even danced along to a take on Modern Lovers’ Roadrunner. Catch footage of the beautiful moment, below.

Vedder’s surprise school reunion appearance comes only a few weeks after he made an unexpected appearance at a comedy club in Seattle, where he performed The Who’s My Generation with unlikely band fellows Adam Sandler, Norm MacDonald and Rob Schneider.

Pearl Jam will be touring this year to celebrate their 25th anniversary, but no Australian dates have been announced just yet.
