Aussie singer-songwriter Emma Louise has given a heartfelt and feels-evoking cover of Nick Cave‘s 1997 track Into My Arms.
Louise dropped by the triple j studios for the weekly Like A Version covers segment, where she performed both an original and a cover.
Cave’s music is often pretty emotive and evocative on its own, but Louise took it to another level with her incredible take on Into My Arms, her voice steeped in gut-wrenching emotion.
She was backed by a sizeable band which included special guest Yeo, and behind her keys and vocals there was a mixer, guitar, drums and electric double bass.
Following the cover she performed a stripped-back version of her own tune Illuminate (taken from her 2016 album Supercry) on which Yeo took on keyboard duties and backup vocals, while Louise played guitar.
