MGMT have been pelted with shoes while playing a show at the U.S Open of Surfing on the weekend, after guitarist James Richardson asked for everybody to give them their left shoe. As you can see in the video below, fans didn’t hesitate to comply, Richardson saying immediately afterward “WHOA..that was probably a bad idea.” Yes, probably.
It begs the question, would you want to walk around for the rest of the day without a left shoe? I guess this show was near the beach, so you could get away with it this time.
