Watch: Foo Fighters Cover Led Zeppelin ‘Rock And Roll’

The Foo Fighters have covered Led Zeppelin’s classic Rock and Roll during a recent performance at the 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors. Switching things up a little, usual Foo’s frontman Dave Grohl sat comfortably behind the drums while Taylor Hawkins took over singing duties.

Fans of the Foo Fighters would be no strangers to Hawkins belting out a tune. The drummer has sang on Foo tracks such as Cold Day in the Sun and fronts his side project Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders.

The cover was part of a tribute to Led Zeppelin that also saw performances from Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Nancy and Ann Wilson from Heart, and John Bonham’s (Zeppelin’s late drummer) son Jason Bonham.

Those in attendance included Stephen Colbert, President Obama, and the surviving members of Zeppelin: Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and John Paul Jones.
