Watch: Girl Gets Her Scream On During US Idol Audition, Goes Down In Flames

Written by Mike Hohnen on January 31, 2013

Oh, man, this one is pretty hard to watch – for a couple of reasons. Not just because this young girl will probably look back at the below footage in a few years time and realise what she actually did, but also because of how just how poorly it has portrayed this type of music in front of millions and millions of people.

During the recent rounds of auditions for the next American Idol, Stephanie ‘Isis’ Sanson, who lays down the screams for LA-based outfit You Only Live Once *rolls eyes*, took on Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain. What follows is an absolute massacre of a decent song. Isis runs around the room doing her best ‘highs’ and at one point breaks something. She then flicks the judges off and walks out.

The judges didn’t handle her vibe too well either. Mariah looked like she had seen a ghost, however, to Keith’s credit, he went along with it for as long as he could. As for Randy, Isis probably had time to tweet how “t0t4lly br00tal tha wh0le th1ng waz” (or something of that nature) before Randy figured out what just happened.
