Washington D.C. rapper GoldLink stepped into triple j‘s Like A Version studio to take on Pharrell Williams‘ debut solo single ‘Frontin”.
While Pharrell’s version gave the world an introduction to one of modern music’s most prolific and most respected figures, GoldLink manages to make the song even smoother and silkier, throwing in a stellar flute solo for good measure.
On top of the cover, the Grammy-nominated rapper also performed his own smash ‘Herside Story’. Watch both performances below.
GoldLink is currently touring Australia in support of his massive debut album At What Cost, performing in Melbourne tonight before heading to Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.
