Watch Green Day Chant “No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA” In American Music Awards Performance

Green Day have already blasted Donald Trump at the MTV EMAs and now they’ve taken aim at the US President-elect once again, this time during the American Music Awards.

At the MTV EMAs they changed the lyrics of American Idiot from “subliminal mind-fuck America” to “subliminal mind-Trump America,” but now that he’s actually been elected President they’ve made their protest a little clearer.

The trio took to the stage to perform Bang Bang off their 2016 record Revolution Radio and in the middle stopped to chant “No Trump! No KKK! No Fascist USA”.

It’s a reference to punk legends MDC’s 1982 anthem Born To Die which features the lyrics “No War! No KKK! No Fascist USA”.

MDC have actually reissued the song this year with the Trump lyrics, releasing it just before Trump beat out Hillary Clinton in the election.

Surprisingly, Green Day’s performance was the only politically-fuelled one of the night with Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and more taking to the stage to perform without any Trump references.

As for the awards, Ariana Grande took home the night’s top honour Artist Of The Year.
