Watch: Kanye West’s Interview On ‘Kimmel’ Was About As Bizarre As You’d Expect

Kanye West has made his big ticket appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and it was, as expected, a wild ride.

The biggest talking point was Yeezy being left uncharacteristically speechless by a question Kimmel threw him about US President Donald Trump.

First, when Kimmel asked whether Kanye had concerns about his wife Kim Kardashian being alone with Trump in the Oval Office, the rapper joked, “Well, he is a player,” eliciting LOLs from the crowd.

The convo soon turned serious though, with Yeezy admitting that his team pressured him not to publicly express any support for Trump during the US Presidential election.

“Everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me, and then told me every time I said I liked Trump that I couldn’t say it out loud or my career would be over, I’d get kicked out of the black community,” he said.

Ye seemed lost for words, however, when Kimmel asked him if he thought Trump cared about black people.

“You’ve so famously and so powerfully said ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people,’ it makes me wonder what makes you think that Donald Trump does, or any people at all?” the host quizzed, to which the rapper seemed to pause to consider the question without answering, before the program cut to a commercial break.

The US President has since taken to Twitter to thank Yeezy for his public show of support:

During his very honest, at times slightly incoherent but nonetheless fascinating 20+ minute chat with the funnyman, Ye also discussed a wide range of topics including his mental health breakdown, his family life and porn.
