Watch Marilyn Manson’s New ‘Deep Six’ Video

Soundwave 2015 act Marilyn Manson has shared the video for his latest single Deep Six, a cut taken from his forthcoming ninth studio album, The Pale Emperor.

The heavy, industrial rock elements of the track are visualised in the video by a CGI corrugated black tube that slowly encases both a nude model and then Manson. It was directed by Bart Hess, who, according to Rolling Stone, also designed the “slime outfit” for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way video.

Deep Six follows Manson’s previously released new song Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge, which he performed live in London when he appeared on stage as a special guest at a Smashing Pumpkins concert.

Manson was recently caught up in a controversial leaked clip portraying the dramatised violent rape of Lana Del Rey, after it was reported to be part of one of his music videos. He has since spoken out to reiterate the footage “wasn’t a Marilyn Manson video” and was edited without his knowledge to include clips from his previous videos by someone he is not affiliated with.

The Pale Emperor will follow up Manson’s 2012 record Born Villain and is set for release in Australia on Friday, 23rd January. Marilyn Manson will perform at Soundwave Festival in February/March alongside Faith No More, Slipknot, Soundgarden and Smashing Pumpkins.
