Watch: New Foo Fighters video starring Lemmy

That’s right the video for White Limo the first full track to be heard of the new, yet to be titled Foo Fighters album (due for release on April 8th) has been released and it along with the music sees the band go back to their hard rocking and tongue in cheek roots. Oh yeah and Lemmy from fucking Motorhead is in the clip, shit yeah! While Sony have said the song isn’t an official single they have said it will be on the album.

The video which sees Lemmy driving a skanky 90s style limo around LA, picking up the band members after running over one of them while rollerblading, is a throwback to low production values, grainy 90s film, and towards the end lots of cheesey performance techniques, such as a babe posing on front of the band while they play. In short it’s a masterpiece.

With the new album recorded entirely to analog tape with In Utero producer Butch Vig in the producers chair the album is a throwback to a more rough and ready Foo Fighters, as evidenced by the video. This is all well and good but they do end up sounding a little like a poor man’s Queen Of The Stone Age/Motorhead rip off, but hey at least they acknowledge that.
