Fascinating Bristolians Zun Zun Egui – who have seen their stock rise in recent times by signing with acclaimed label Bella Union – have released the video for their single Fandango Fresh, the first to come from their forthcoming LP Katang.
Fandango Fresh is out on August 12 (UK) on 12″ vinyl, with Katang out on October 3. Zun Zun Egui had been a simmering presence on the UK scene for some time, before Bella Union picked them up this year. Frank Zappa, Fela Kuti and various strands of dance and ‘world’ music count as influences for Zun Zun Egui, who may well end the year as firm critical darlings.
