Watch: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ New Video ‘We No Who U R’

Written by Marc Zanotti on January 7, 2013

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have released the music video for We No Who U R, the lead single from upcoming album Push the Sky Away. As reported by Prefix, the clip was directed by Gaspar Noé and mirrors the atmosphere of the song, dissuading yet intriguing.

Push the Sky Away is expected out February 13, 2013 and was recorded in La Fabrique, a 19th century French mansion modified into a recording studio. Not long after the album is released, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will embark on a national tour, including two dates at the Sydney Opera House with players from the Sydney Symphony.

When speaking about the writing and recording of Push the Sky Away, Cave gave full credit to the skilful Bad Seeds for shaping his ideas into fully realised songs.

“I enter the studio with a handful of ideas, unformed and pupal; it’s the Bad Seeds that transform them into things of wonder. Ask anyone who has seen them at work. They are unlike any other band on earth for pure, instinctive inventiveness,” explained Cave.
