Watch Northeast Party House Cover Violent Soho On ‘Like A Version’

Melbourne indie-dance group Northeast Party House have graced triple j‘s Like A Version with a gorgeous down-tempo electronic adaptation of Covered In Chrome, the hard-hitting alt-rock track from Mansfield’s Violent Soho.

Northeast Party House’s performance of Covered In Chrome (below) added some bright dance-pop tones to Violent Soho’s dramatic lyrics, and sat them above chirping guitars, crisp electronic percussion, a small Lorde sample and a typically propulsive bass-line.

As the group wrapped up their cover, all four band members, as well as triple j host’s Matt Okine and Alex Dyson dropped their pants in celebration, revealing undies-a-plenty.

Northeast Party House also performed original track The Haunted (below). The band’s latest album, Any Given Weekend, was released in May this year.
