Watch: Premiere Of Charlie Mayfair New Music Video ‘Waste Me’

Brisbane indie group Charlie Mayfair have let loose their latest offering: the track Waste Me and the subsequent video clip for the track.

Fans of the band will witness a darker, more eerie side of the band than they have seen through previous releases. Exploring the notions of heartbreak, Hannah Shepherd’s foreboding, angelic yet haunting soundscape fits perfectly with the dark, ominous cinematic.

Directed by Jefferton James (Boy and Bear, Avalanche City), the clip was filmed in the southern highlands in a real settler’s cottage. The narrative focuses around an isolated couple, shattered by the husband’s excess drinking and his domestic abuse until one day he pushes it too far.

James explains – “I wanted the story of these two people, who had fallen far from the love they once had, to be just as haunting as the environment they lived in”.
