Watch Queens Of The Stone Age Mashup ‘Feel Good Hit Of The Summer’ And ‘Everlong’ By Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters‘ very own music festival Cal Jam went down over the weekend and the bill featured Queens Of The Stone Age, who did a very special tribute to their hosts.

The band performed a new version of ‘Feel Good Hit Of The Summer,’ which saw frontman Josh Homme incorporate the lyrics of Foo Fighters seminal 1997 classic ‘Everlong’ into the second verse.

It’s the latest in a string of unique versions of the track that the band have performed across QOTSA’s Villains tour.

As Consequence Of Sound points out, Homme has previously sung the lyrics to ‘Clint Eastwood’ by Gorillaz, ‘Devil Inside’ by INXS and ‘Rehab’ by Amy Winehouse.

Last week also saw Homme and Dean Ferito perform a classical version QOTSA track ‘Villains of Circumstance’ on BBC’s Later… With Jools Holland, complete with strings, piano, and Homme belting out an operatic version of the song’s lyrics.

If the clip below gets you itching to see some live music, sadly it’s unlikely QOTSA will return to Australia too soon, but you can catch Foo Fighters performing dates around the country next January, with support by Weezer.
