Watch: Skrillex’s Hair Catches On Fire While Blowing Out Birthday Candles

Written by Mike Hohnen on January 17, 2013

The only thing more famous than his music would have to be his haircut, but Skrillex has experienced the downside of having hair long enough to reach birthday cake candles at a recent birthday celebration, where the prince of dubstep actually caught on fire.

In the below footage, Skrillex takes what was surely a cheeky instragram pic of the cake before trying to blow out the candles. Despite everyone in the room thinking about it – Sonny seemed oblivious to the fact that his hair falls directly onto the open flame.

The wonders of chemistry unfold before your eyes as all of a sudden his half-mop type thing is on fire. It only takes half a second for him to put it out, but we all saw Sonny, we know what happened.

Skrillex awkwardly laughed the incident off before digging into his turntable shaped birthday cake, according to TMZ.

So we now know Sonny Moore’s weakness. Fire. But we will need much more of it next time.
