Watch: Spiritualized – ‘Little Girl’

Written by Kiel Egging on July 2, 2012

British space rock band Spiritualized have enlisted one of the UK’s best female stunt riders to star in their new clip Little Girl.

Little Girl is the latest single from the band’s brand new album Sweet Heart Sweet Light – which they released in April. The band are joining the likes of Plan B, Nas, Paul Weller and Santigold to play a series of free shows at London’s 100 Club in late July and early August for US shoe giant Converse.

Directed by Vincent Haycock, the clip has been described as “the story of a young female runaway who steals her dad’s money and motorcycle to escape the god-forsaken, post-Soviet demise small town in which she lives”.

Pitchfork reports the three-day shoot comprised: “two crashes, a wrecked bike, a near-death tank rattle, 12 burnt out tires, a broken whipped cream charger, and a near arrest after police caught producers filming a high speed tracking shot on the autobahn into Berlin at 4am.”

Hmmm, just a bit of action going on there.  Give us your thoughts on the clip below:
