Watch: Stone Sour Give ‘Gone Sovereign’ The Video Treatment

Written by Mike Hohnen on October 12, 2012

To be featured on the first half of Stone Stour‘s forthcoming concept album House of Gold & Bones Part 1, Gone Sovereign sees the band go back to basics in their video effort for the track directed by long-term Slipknot / Stone Sour collaborator P.R. Brown.

The clip kicks off with the boys all in a small room, huddled around the drumkit, but as soon as shit gets real, the curtains drop to reveal a stage surrounded by fans on all sides. Think Papa Roach – Last Resort, even with the cool camera angles and with the nu-metal vibe, but way, way more relevant and badass.

Part two can be expected to drop early next year, and fans are also expecting a comic book by frontman Corey Taylor, which will built on the album’s already intricate story. Taylor will be taking the comic book to Comic Con this year, where he will be promoting the graphic novel, according to Loud Wire

The clip was only meant to debut in the US, buuut we got it.
