Watch The Bennies Morph Into High Video Game Characters In The Video For ‘Burnout City’

Written by Zanda Wilson on July 8, 2016

The Bennies are currently in the midst of their biggest Australian tour ever, but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing a brand new video for their track Burnout City.

Known for their pop-culture referencing music videos (their clip for Highrider is literally just gameplay from Mario Kart), this latest video references The Matrix; introducing the ultimate dealer who offers The Bennies a choice between the blue spliff and the red spliff.

By choosing the red spliff (offering “the biggest party you’ve ever been to,”) the band members slowly morph into video game characters including Mario, Pacman and more – and head out to reek havoc on an unsuspecting public.
