Watch The Jezabels Deliver A Slick Sticky Fingers Cover For ‘Like A Version’

Sydney indie rockers The Jezabels have completed the first Like A Version cover for triple j‘s 2016 Ausmusic month, which meant a cover of another Aussie band was probably inevitable.

The clue given by The Jezabels leading up to the band unveiling their cover was, “What do bears, lovers, toddlers, proctologists… have in common?” The answer? Sticky Fingers.

The band played StiFi’s 2014 tune If You Go, and the cover had quite a synthetic feel, driven by keys and drum samples. Predictably, Hayley Mary’s lead and Heather Shannon’s backup vocals are intense and powerful, but at the same time they create harmonies that gave the song a certain understated softness.

While in the studio The Jezabels rocked out on their own original track Pleasure Drive taken from their 2016 album Synthia.
