Watch: The Killers ‘Runaways’ Live On David Letterman

Las Vegas indie stalwarts The Killers have recently performed their single Runaways live on David Letterman, with that man himself introducing them by saying: “If the question ever comes up, ‘Do you like the Killers?’ the answer is always, ‘Yes'”. The encouraging compliment led to a performance that can only be described as energetic and powerful, cruising through the new album hit with cheers from the audience.

The band released their new album Battle Born last week, which is the long-anticipated follow-up to previous classic Day & Age. This album marks the group’s fourth effort all up since the release of their first album Hot Fuss in 2004. For Battle Born the band enlisted the help of some of the industry’s greatest studio meddlers, including U2’s Steve Lillywhite, Rage Against the Machine collaborator Brendan O’Brien and Madonna producer Stuart Price.

The Killers will be visiting Australia on the back of the Big day Out 2013 lineup in January, with sideshows announced earlier this week as well. The band were last on our shores a few years back promoting their third album Day & Age as headliners of two now-defunct festivals – the V-Festival (2009) and Good Vibrations (2010).
