Watch Tool’s Adam Jones Join Chino Moreno & ISIS’ Supergoup On Stage

At a gig at Hollywood’s The Troubadour last night, Deftones frontman Chino Moreno‘s side outfit Palms, which also features former members of Isis the band, were joined on stage by Tool guitarist Adam Jones.

As seen in the fan-shot footage below, Jones joined the band onstage for a rendition of their track Shortwave Radio, which features on their 2013 self-titled debut full-length album. The band posted the video to their Facebook page, noting that it was an “honour” to perform with Jones. According to The PRP, Palms also previewed what seems to be new material at an earlier California gig. See fan footage of that as well.

Earlier this year, Adam Jones revealed that Tool’s long-awaited fifth album, which would follow up their 2006 release 10,000 days, is far from completion as the band continue to battle a convoluted series of lawsuits with their former insurance company.

Palms is fronted by Moreno and features three members of the influential US progressive metal band ISIS. Although ISIS officially disbanded in 2010, they were forced to change their name to Isis the band recently, after being confused on social media with the reviled terrorist group of the same name.
