After Blink-182 pulled out of US festival Riot Fest due to Travis Barker’s health issues, Weezer stepped in to the headlining slot and cover the band’s seminal hit, ‘All The Small Things.’
The festival, also headlined by Taking Back Sunday and Run The Jewels, lost Blink-182 after the band had to cancel and postpone a whole bunch of shows due to Barker’s ongoing health problems, including blood clots in both arms.
Pitchfork reports that Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo performed an acoustic cover of the same song earlier last week, saying “Weezer always has Blink’s back.”
This cover also follows the crazy saga of Weezer covering Toto’s hit ‘Africa’, which of course they did to great success.
