White Rabbits Announce Australian Headline Shows

After pinging almost nonstop on our musical radars for nearly two years, Brooklyn-via-Missouri band White Rabbits have finally announced their first ever Australian tour on the back of their sophomore release It’s Frightening!

Following nearly two years on the road (including festival stops at Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Sasquatch, Monolith and tours with The Walkmen, Spoon, Richard Swift, The Cribs, White Denim and Tokyo Police Club) White Rabbits bunkered down in their Brooklyn practice space to set about re-envisioning the dark pop of their debut album, Fort Nightly, while adding new sounds and influences to achieve a thoroughly original work. Spoon impresario and recent tourmate Britt Daniel quickly joined the party and, in the process of exchanging demos, ended up helming the album’s production booth.

Live, White Rabbits are all about a high-octane performance, where tenacious eardrum-ripping percussion meets simple guitar and piano, and all is slathered with a decent serve of soaring vocals and three part harmonies.

When White Rabbits touch down in Australia later this year their performances are guaranteed to be some of the most hotly anticipated shows of the summer festival season, so do not miss out! You can catch a sneak peek below of the band as they perform ‘Percussion Gun’ live on The Late Show with David Letterman.
