ORIGINAL STORY: After teasing Aussie fans with hints of a forthcoming announcement, hip hop legends Wu-Tang Clan have announced two special headline dates at the Sydney Opera House to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their influential 1993 debut album Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).

Returning down under for the first time since 2016, the American group will be performing two exclusive shows in Sydney this December, with no other dates expected to be announced.

All nine members of the east coast outfit — RZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, U-God, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, GZA and Cappadonna — will perform Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) in its entirety at both shows.

“The Sydney Opera House is one of the world’s most iconic venues,” says RZA. “Its architecture and acoustics are inspirations for various genres of artistic expressions.

“Wu-Tang Clan is cooking up something special for Australia. The Opera House will be infused with a dose of real hip hop that’s sure to rock from bottom to top. We can’t wait to perform there.”

Last week, posters were spotted in the Sydney suburb of Newtown featuring the date of Tuesday, 17th July 2018 (hey, that’s today!). Fans rushed to protect their necks, given that Wu-Tang used a similar marketing tactic back in December 2015, before eventually announcing their 2016 Australian tour.

Wu-Tang released The Saga Continues last year, after Pharma bro Martin Shkreli purchased their one-off compilation album The Wu – Once Upon A Time In Shaolin for USD$2 million (and later broadcast some of it online).
