American electro-pop stars Yacht have announced three special sideshows as part of their visit to our shores for Groovin’ The Moo in April and May.
The band will play clubs in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth – their first solo dates since they last toured in 2009 with headlining shows and an appearance at the Meredith Music Festival.
Along with the band’s mastermind Jona Bechtolt and his offsider Claire L. Evans, the band’s line-up will be expanded for the tour to include regular live players Bobby Birdman and Jeffrey Jerusalem.
Outside of their popular current singles Le Grudon and Second Summer, Yacht have now released five albums – the most recent being 2011’s Shangri-La. They’ve toured the world extensively, morphing from a bedroom project into live superstars, capable of bringing the party to any environment and mixing it anytime and anywhere with the biggest and best names in the music game.
